Tim McLelland Yep, certainly sound like Blind Guardian ... but what most impressed me was that they also have hints of The Lords of The Crimson Alliance. Amazing stuff. Favorite track: Into the Sea of Bayonets.

el culo sucio honestly probably my favorite Judicator album. every Judicator album is Very Good but this guy is eternally classic. songwriting perfection - this is basically the album that Blind Guardian could have written instead of Tales From the Twilight World
Morts

Morts In the mood to get back to the basics with some fast-paced speed metal? Judicator should satisfy you. Okay, so they don't score big points for originality, but if you've played Helloween, Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, et al to death and wanna try something new here's a good place to go! Favorite track: Rising Again.

Rising Again 06:36
I deny your vile state, a leech unto our pride We are the worthy host, the ones you hate the most
Rise, I shall rise – never restrained
Trust in yourself Always behave sly and sharp, just like the fox Embers of blue in sunset Dying to be free, my destiny is held and barred A bird that’s caged and still imprisoned I yearn to hold all that men need For now I’m rising again, pride is in my eyes And Europe fears what I am: the legend reborn Grey, grey is the sky as we return Join in the ranks of free men Sly, sly and sharp, just like the fox Now we shall see if friends remain Soldiers listening, all waiting for my careful words
If you would kill your Emperor Then shoot him now, for here I am I deny your knotted throne
A leech unto our pride
 We are the worthy host
The ones you fear the most

Starlight in the fields, my power yields a flame of hope I feel I’m changing, the age is dawning
Prometheus will pay for all
For now I’m rising again, pride is in my eyes And Europe fears what I am: the legend reborn
2.
Wellington is on the move (this time you may not succeed) And I have been refused (count the cards, one joker missing)
We try as in the old days
Failure is something that you choose

I defy the world around me I deny the chance is dying

Into the sea of bayonets
Where I'm at home, where I belong
Into the sea of bayonets
I try to peacefully return Prussians coming from the west (drive a wedge in between now)
Keep the weak from growing strong (there's a chance, one chance in hell)
They'll face the bravest of the brave
Marshal Ney will turn the tide

We hear the batteries are crashing down
Push the skirmishers away and break for center
(Into the dark) the second division
(Into the bleak) slowing burn -- more for the slaughter

And from the left Jerome is killing in the woods
Before the crossroad's taken I will be the ligh t
A thunder louder than the mind can even take
A shock which pierces deep into the shallow heart
3.
The rain, it falls like a curtain
 Wolves are on our heels
Desperate men feeling pressure, pressure to survive
The train of men never ending, moving through the night
Once before I have seen these lands, Waterloo is my ground

Look at their faces, what do you see?
We must pull through for them, set the world free

Keep the pace and push through fire
Never yield the ground that's chosen
Backs against the wall The night is lit by their fires, the light of countless men A silence reigned so profound till the downpour resumed
A present left for the morning by the fates in the night Battle time slowly creeping, the night laughs at what it leaves
Dire moment of the century, not a moment's respite Two wolves chained and are waiting for their master's respite
A wolf that's tired but collected, the other suffers but snarls
When noon arrives we will ride them down
Let's let slip the dogs of war
And now we stand on the corner between the fear and the rage It's almost time for the blood storm, pray to what god you choose
The Grand Armee beats the war drum, blood is racing and I
I can't believe this has come to pass, twenty years of war
4.
King of Rome 06:53
On the field I can see him riding inspired
All those legends that we have heard in our youth
Now it's time to stand, measure ourselves against him

Back to the French lines, "Vive l'Empereur!" It's my desire to defend the name
Back to the fire, "Vive l'Empereur!" What I require was refused again

But as my thoughts return to home and what's ahead
I was a slave to what my family forged Thoughts of my son, I will not fail him now

I'll pass the light, give him all the might
He'll be the King of Rome
I'll pass the light safely through the night
He'll be the King of Rome

From the battlefield, I ride to my place of command

There at the hilltop (thinking of your son)
The heir-apparent, your time will come
There in my shadows (no hope you can see)
I'll fight despite them, too much is at stake

But as my thoughts return to home and what's ahead
I was a slave to what my family forged Thoughts of my son, I will not fail him now

I'll pass the light, give him all the might
He'll be the King of Rome
I'll pass the light safely through the night
He'll be the King of Rome
5.
Hougoumont 06:30
I must inform you, the battle of Waterloo's begun
Into the old wood, an air of dirt and fear, it permeates
We squeeze our rifles, it cannot be this easy, that we know
A roar of cannons begins to tear apart our valiant ranks

 Bloodshed, fire, dying
In woods of Hougoumont

 As water crashes on stone
 Dying to break them down
Like elders fight sands of time
These walls are bought with blood

The ocean's swelling, it rises up against the northern wall
Bring in "the Basher" to carve a path of gore and splintered wood
If there was one chance, then seize it now for this is all we'll get
Into the courtyard, screams of crowded bodies finally meet

 Bloodshed, fire, dying
In woods of Hougoumont

 As water crashes on stone
 Dying to break them down
Like elders fight sands of time
These walls are bought with blood
6.
See Sir Frederick Ponsonby, commander of the 12th Light Dragoons And General Jacquinot reacts, the French can see we'll hold our own with smiles Enter the fearsome lancers
Savage and terrifying, they pierce my flesh
Wounded in both my arms and
Out of control I plunge into the fray

Explore the limits of yourself And ask yourself just how much can you take
When one can take abuse with smiles
Then he in turn may lead his men as sons

When I open up my eyes and try to lift myself out of the mud Hear, "Tu n'es pas mort, coquin?" and quickly followed by another blow

I feel the steel inside me The pain is overwhelming and blinding
I taste the blood arising
My lung is pierced and soon I slip away

I once again awaken
So paralyzed, forsaken and alone
I'm robbed in empty pockets
A tirailleur will use me as a shield

Explore the limits of yourself And ask yourself just how much can you take
When one can take abuse with smiles
Then he in turn may lead his men as sons
7.
All that I've left behind
 All that I've sacrificed
 Never I'll fight again
Blood is too high a price

One night before, every chair in here was filled
Empty inside, staring at vacant thrones of my kin

Pride undone
 Battles lost, wars we won
Count the cost Reading the list of slain, weeping in deepening dismay
There is still loss in gain, do not congratulate Now that we've spoken, now that we've won Pray it's all over, peace has begun

And now it's time to cast him out The toll of our dead is on him
And in this world of gears and decay
 Nobody is innocent anyway
8.
Elan 12:19
These are the gasping death throes now
Into the final fight that I might know
I feel a rush of blood like thunder in my veins
The only fear that's left is left alive but maimed

Rush them and fight to death I hold my breath and pray for more

The sea of tears and tattered banners
Just like a prophecy, a prophecy that failed
The sea of tears and tattered banners
Our hearts cry out as one, and beat like drums of god
Our elan We all inhale the smoke and fog
My brisk and youthful self has long been gone
The song of musket fire is playing to our fears
As silhouettes of men so suddenly appear Pierced and shocked but I survive
We're falling back now, like the ocean tide

Hearts of iron, squares of Old Guard
Fight like lions for the French retreat

I will not be silenced, I will not be caged
Take apart the man who built this stage

Ils ne passeront pas, we shall never yield
Despite the loss on the battlefield
Je ne cedrais jemais, they shall never pass
Protect the fall-back, we must make it last
 General Cambronne is captured now
Repel their advance, show the English how
True men fight till collapse, defend their kin
The French are falling, hear the wounded cry

Back to home at Malmaison, back to the calm before my storm
Fantasize of life anew, dream of life across the sea There must be something for me there, science and exploration call
Could I be slightly out of mind?
 Surely Prometheus can't fly

Into my final resting place, call me general to push disgrace

When springtime falls back into winter
Just like a prophecy, a prophecy that failed
Will auburn sunsets weep for me?
I steel my heart and sigh, then walk into the black
 My elan

about

KING OF ROME is a power/speed metal album in the style of Blind Guardian, Iron Savior, Gamma Ray and Iced Earth. The lyrics are a concept about Napoleon Bonaparte's last campaign leading up to the Battle of Waterloo and his defeat at the hands of the Duke of Wellington. Fans of classic power and speed metal will find that Judicator puts a modern spin on the classic formula, with plenty of riffs, melodies and powerful vocals to back it up.
